Gamma-Oryzanol refers to a group of constituents primarily obtained from rice bran oil but also found in wheat bran and some fruit and vegetables. Gamma-Oryzanol is not easily absorbed into the gut. In this sense, it is thought to help lower cholesterol levels by decreasing cholesterol absorption through the gut.
Gamma-Oryzanol is also used for menopause and increasing testosterone and growth hormone levels. However, these activities have yet to be verified.
Gamma-Oryzanol has no reported side effects. It also has no reported negative interactions with other drugs.
